Miller Children's Hospital depends on the generosity of their friends in the community as they strive to provide the finest medical care for patients and their families.

Donations of new toys, books, stuffed animals, craft materials, etc. are used throughout the year at Miller Children's. They may be used in the hospital's numerous playrooms or to comfort and entertain a child during the hospital experience. Donations also allow the patients to select a gift following the completion of a procedure or to celebrate a significant event such as a birthday, holiday, or the end of treatment.

Please bring your donations to Timmons VW prior to the event on October 9.

For those that can't make it to the event, Timmons VW will also have a collection box in their showroom for your convenience. They are located at 3940 Cherry Ave in Long Beach. You can reach them at 562-595-4601 for more information on how to donate toys and other items.

There are several ways to make a philanthropic gift to support that extra measure of care at Long Beach Memorial and Miller Children’s Hospital through Memorial Medical Center Foundation. Your gift may support patient care programs, medical equipment, clinical research, or medical education. Your employer may have a sponsorship or matching gift program—contact your company for details.

BRAVERY ITEMS (Items to Help Children Cope During Painful or Scary Procedures)
These items are used by Child Life Specialists during medical procedures.  By helping the child focus on various items, pain and anxiety can be decreased.

Toys for Children Who Are On Isolation
Children who are on isolation are unable to come out of their rooms.  Items taken into their rooms must be easily disinfected or be left with the child for him/her to take home.

There are many children in the hospital that are in this age group (1 month-3 years).  Items that work best are those with few pieces and are easily disinfected (nothing cloth).
